Smitaa story:  How did her journey start

People see me as the person I am today, not what I have been through

I was told how to behave.

I always had a vision for myself, and I always saw myself as what am I being for others, and that made me what I’ve become!

How were things earlier? And how it affected your life?

I had a dream of impacting other people’s lives and I’ve always been that helper.

I was supposed to look at the right side of the menu before ordering so that we don’t spend extra money.

I used to change three local trains to go to my job and come home to feed my daughter.

I had a complete reverse concept of how motherhood should be.

Then I started standing up for myself by building courage

How to build courage:

Don’t try to do it on your own, ask for help.

Every human, every living species on this planet Earth knows how to pay us for help. However, it’s only human beings who believe that asking for help is a weakness, but rather asking for help is strength.

See the bigger picture, You are a composition of different parts.

I was a people pleaser!

I can’t even cry in my own house because I had to all the time be nice and smiling at them and to all the time cater to them.

I always wanted to be seen as a good daughter, a good wife, a good mother and I’ve gone out of my way to prove that.

And one day I realized it’s okay to be kind to someone and I think you should be kind to someone. But there’s a difference between being kind and pleasing people.

And if you keep doing it to seek their approval, there comes a time how much however you do it becomes less and you get burnt out.

What made a difference, is the switch in the intention now!

I would still do things for people but not from a space of ‘oh they should not judge me or they should like me’ but, now I do it from a space of I love this person and I’ll do whatever it takes for them to be happy.

Now I don’t burn myself out in the process and at the same time, I don’t feel guilty if I miss it out.

Jim Rohn’s father used to say to him that “after me, you come first”

You got to take care of yourself before you can take care of others

How did this shift bring changes to your life?

I started going for therapies and started discovering myself

Then I realized, so many other people could be going through something like this.

That’s where my journey as a coach began.

I didn’t let challenges define me, I decided and I let my responses to that particular situation define me!

According to me, your surrounding plays a very important role here, and I think you attract the people in your life, by virtue of who you are.

But how to attract the right people?

You can work on being the human being that you’re becoming. And at least become that person that you’re wanting to become right and if you’re that person you will automatically attract good people in your life!

Let’s talk about your upcoming book. What is your book about?
